Jesus Company Church. This set of constructions has several buildings which were built by the Jesuits, for religious and housing purposes, and is considered a monument that is representative of the religious architecture of the seventeenth century (1660).
Our Lady Cathedral, which dominates the square.
Saint Catherine Monastery. Built to house the daughters of the most distinguished families of the city who had a religious vocation, the monastery was inaugurated on October 2, 1580, under the petition of St. Catherine of Siena, as a center of absolute closure.
Santuarios Andinos Museum. In this museum is the Dama de Ampato, Inca mummy of a child of 12 or 14 years, found at the top of Ampato volcano by the Andeanist Miguel Zárate, the archaeologist José Chávez and the anthropologist Johan Reinhard, September 8th 1995. According to specialists, it is very likely that the child, whose body was found frozen, died of a blow of five-pointed granite macana - Indians-at the temple. It could be, apparently, an offering to Apu Ampato, and its seniority dates back to about 500 years.
